XBMC Download
- Download XBMC FireStick: Download Kodi FireStick here (X MB .apk File) or download XBMC for Amazon Fire Stick by following our Install Kodi on Fire Stick guide. The “download” part of XBMC for Fire Stick is easy – it’s the “install” part that takes a minute or two. Our video tutorial shows you the fastest, easiest way to install XBMC on FireStick or Fire TV.
- Download XBMC for Windows PCs: Direct Download the X MB .exe File here or Download the Windows version directly from the official Kodi.TV download page. Installing XBMC on Windows is super easy; the XBMC (aka “Kodi”) installed is just a Windows executable (.Exe) file you download and install directly to your Windows laptop or desktop computer.
- Download XBMC Android: For Android devices, the Android XBMC Download is located here in the Google Play Store and is labeled as “Kodi” instead of XBMC. To install Kodi Android is very easy: just find “Kodi” in the Google Play Store, select it, press INSTALL, then press OPEN to launch XBMC. This is the easiest way to install Kodi on Android TV Box, since Android TV Boxes typically have Google Play Store installed by default.
- Download XBMC Mac: Direct Download the XBMC Mac installer here. If you have a Mac laptop or any OSX Mac device, you can also install Kodi by downloading the installer from the Kodi.TV download site. Then just install the app like you would install any other Mac program.
- Download XBMC Raspberry Pi: Raspberry Pi devices have their own XBMC Download and install process. So if you have a Raspberry Pi, you’ll need to copy a “Kodi-capable” RPi Operating System like OpenELEC to put XBMC on your Raspberry Pi. Here is the guide to download Kodi Raspberry Pi edition.
- Download XBMC Linux: Rather than downloading an installer file to Install Kodi on Linux, we must use Linux’s built-in software installation method. See the installation guide here. The “built-in software installation method” for Linux means using a command in Linux that adds the Kodi repository to Linux’s list of programs, then using a command to install Kodi from the repository. It’s easy and can even be done on a Chromebook.
- Download XBMC iOS: If you have a jailbroken iOS device such as a jailbroken iPhone or iPad, you can install Kodi onto it. Download Kodi for iOS here or download it from the official Kodi site.
- Download XBMC Smart TV: There is actually no version of XBMC for “Smart TVs”. Check to see if your TV runs Android OS (hint: it most likely does not). Your best best to install Kodi on Smart TV is to just get a Fire Stick for $40 and add it to your SmartTV.

Linwoodsays:August 7, 2015 at 5:55 am When I look at the network to find the IP Address, I see the address of the Wi-Fi. Should I use this, or how do I find the IP Address of the stick?
AFTVnewssays:August 7, 2015 at 6:10 am The number directly to the right of the words “IP Address” is the IP address of the stick.

I also only get the wifi name, there is no ip address, how do I find it. I did follow the directions exactly. Again, only the wifi name, no ip address.
angelasays:August 10, 2015 at 2:18 am I also don’t have an IP address on the Fire TV box – just the wifi name. I’ve found the IP address of my router is this the same thing as the Fire IP address?
Colin The Headsays:November 29, 2015 at 4:21 am No it isn’t. Your router’s IP address is your routers. Your Firestick/TV IP address is independent. Im not sure why its not displaying for you, mine shows just fine at this side, for example 168.192.1.111
Emilysays:January 5, 2016 at 11:50 am I do not have a visible IP address either. It says the name of my hub then the signal strength. Then security below the word connected but no IP address does anyone know how I reveal this

Lee vingsays:April 3, 2016 at 5:55 am You are looking in the wrong place. Go to Settings, About, Network. Do not look at Settings, Network, that gives you your wifi info. The former location gives you the stick info.

MAC Challengedsays:January 6, 2016 at 3:12 pm How do you get the MAC address from the stick to add it to a router that uses a MAC address control list? When I start the stick it wants to go through the setup process without giving away to access essential information. Any thoughts?
Charles U. Farleysays:January 20, 2016 at 6:27 pm As of 01/20/16, to find the MAC in the Fire Stick, select your language and at the next screen, scroll past all available networks to get to the options to connect via WPS push button or to see the stick’s MAC address. Bad menu design on Amazon’s part.

PJ Macsays:March 5, 2016 at 8:48 am I have a fire stick that I love and has been working perfectly for 6 months. until yesterday.I installed a new wireless gateway from Comcast (an upgrade) and all my wireless devices worked great except firestick. It would not connect to the network although I did everything to get it to connect .power cycled, reentered password, looked at security. called tech support.but it continued to cycle through signal strength very good then to “out of range” disconnected.
Then I saw Charles Farley’s comment on bypassing the networks and connecting through the wps button. It worked perfectly! As far as I’m concerned, its all magic but I have my firestick back. Yay. thanks Charles.
Pat McCannsays:March 26, 2016 at 3:33 pm I bought an Amazon Fire Stick but the same day my son bought me one also. I explained this to Amazon and they refunded me an accepted the stick back. I installed the device and the first problem I met was that Amazon refused to help because they said (quite truly)that I had not bought it from them!
Next my Samsung TV hit a problem with the remote starter button. I stripped the TV and replaced the four 1000mf 16volt capacitors with four 1000mf 50volt ones and the TV was back – no problem.
But the Fire Stick would no longer work!!!
After three weeks of having no TV I’m learning new things about myself. First and most important is that I am not dependent on TV. So to hell with Fire Sticks and Fire TVs and all the rest of that stuff
I just tinker with them now – for FUN.

Gary Bergmansays:December 4, 2016 at 5:45 pm New firestick would not work. Fault found with (Alexa) remote. Replaced remote and connected to network. New remote worked just long enough to configure network, then also quit. I used iPhone app, but it’s clumsy. Discovered firestick can be controlled via HDMI-CEC. Found CEC settings on my Vizio TV and now use my Vizio remote to control firestick. Much easier.

gremmy12says:July 27, 2017 at 2:59 am Curious to read. This is an interesting topic for discussion, by the way. I often watch online TV, but sometimes I can’t watch it without using VPN. I prefer to use free VPN. Also to test the effectiveness of this program, I use IP Whois of service. It is convenient.
EwOrsays:August 14, 2017 at 4:00 pm The Amazon FireTV is reporting the IP address 192.168.1.60, but the Kodi app itself is reporting that it is using 192.168.149.1. To connect via the Yatse app on my phone, I entered a static route into my wireless router to point to the IP address that the Amazon FireTV stick is reporting/using (in other words, to get to network 192.168.149.0 /24, use 192.168.1.60).
Then I configured my Yatse app manually – added the new host (192.168.49.1) I made sure that I entered a password and username on the Kodi app to secure the app as much as possible.
Hope this helps everyone!
